Forest Land Management Inc. has been managing land on behalf of owners of forests and timberland since 2000, helping them realize the potential of their asset through various strategies such as reforestation, timber sales, hunting leases, wildlife and land management plans. Our team is dedicated to forestry and to their landowners, and since 2000 we have progressively assisted landowners across South Carolina and North Carolina.
Frederick (Coy) Myers Jr.
Coy, a native of Camden, SC, attended Clemson University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resource Management in the spring of 2000. He began his forestry career working for the SC Department of Corrections, serving as the forester in charge and a farm manager. There he developed and put into action an in depth forest management plan for all corrections lands, creating the forest management program for the department of corrections from the ground up. In 2002 he began work for Forest Land Management Inc. serving as a forest resource consultant to private landowners. In 2004 he purchased Forest Land Management Inc. where he continues to provide forest management services to private landowners.
Registered Forester in both SC (#1659) and NC (#1522), a member of the Society of American Foresters, The Longleaf Alliance, and a SC licensed realtor, member of SC Forestry Association, and is on the Columbia Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association.
James (Jimmy) LaFrage Jr.
Jimmy, married with two adult sons, is originally from Columbia, but grew up in Camden, South Carolina. In the late 1970s, after receiving his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Forest Management from the Haywood Technical Institute NC, he promptly began his career, first with Boise Cascade Corporation and then at Westvaco Corporation where he spent 29 years in the Cooperative Forest Managenment Program, managing private landowners timberland. He joined Forest Land Management in 2009 as co- owner of the company. During his time at Westvaco, he completed his Bachelor of Science Business Administration from Limestone College in 1991. As a veteran forester of 33 years, Jimmy's passion has been to help private landowners manage their natural resources and to treat them fairly. As a result Jimmy has been recognized for his work twice with the South Carolina Tree Farmers of the Year award.
